Your privacy is paramount. GAfix Tag ID Finder is built with a "privacy-by-design" approach. This Privacy Policy explains exactly how the extension operates and confirms that your data remains entirely your own.
1. Overview
GAfix Tag ID Finder is a lightweight developer tool from GAfix.ai (operated by Neenopal Inc.) that improves the Google Tag Manager (GTM) user interface with Tag ID badges, an active/paused stats bar, in-page search, hide-paused / hide-active filters, and a Container ID copy button. The extension operates entirely within your browser. We do not collect, store, track, or transmit any of your personal data, browsing history, or GTM container data to external servers.
2. Information Collection and Use
GAfix Tag ID Finder does not collect any user data of any kind. The extension does not require accounts, logins, or sign-ups.
- No Personal Data: We do not collect names, email addresses, IP addresses, or unique device identifiers.
- No Tracking or Analytics: We do not use third-party analytics tools, tracking pixels, or advertising identifiers inside the extension.
- No Server Interactions: The extension does not communicate with any external API or remote server. All code execution happens locally on your machine.
3. Permissions and Local Browser Data Justification
To function correctly, GAfix Tag ID Finder interacts with your browser in the following limited ways
- Host Permission (https://tagmanager.google.com/*): Required so the extension can inject UI improvements — Tag ID chips, the active/paused stats bar, hide filters, the in-page search box, the Tag ID chip on the tag detail view, and the Container ID copy button - directly into your Google Tag Manager dashboard. The extension reads only the DOM of the GTM page you are actively viewing in order to extract Tag IDs and filter lists locally. It never modifies or exports your underlying GTM configuration.
- Local Web Storage (localStorage and sessionStorage on tagmanager.google.com): Used solely to remember a single UI preference - defaulting your tag list pagination to "ALL". This value stays inside your local browser session, is never synced, and is never transmitted to any server.
4. Data Security and Third-Party Sharing
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in extension functionality or Chrome Web Store requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised Effective Date. Continued use of the extension after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
